All Kidd Tutorial participants who are eligible for financial aid as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships receive scholarships. (Awards have averaged from $1,200–$3,000 the last three years.*)
All disbursements are made through Student Accounts (balances due may be subtracted from the award amount) and are distributed in equal installments at the beginning of Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. Recipients must remain in good standing and continue in the Kidd Tutorial Program through subsequent terms to retain their scholarships. Departure from the Kidd Tutorial during the year, for any reason, terminates funding.
Scholarship recipients are notified by email.* Financial awards are determined based on University guidelines, not those of the Creative Writing Program.
Kidd Tutorial Line of Inquiry Award
Prizes in each genre will be awarded to Kidd Tutorial undergraduate students for the best Line of Inquiry (LOI) paper. The Kidd Director reviews work nominated by Kidd Tutors (Instructors) and makes the final selections.
* All Kidd Tutorial Program scholarships are subject to student need for financial assistance as determined by the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. All disbursements are made through Student Accounts (balances due may be subtracted from the award amount).
