Hoover Releases Debut Collection

Barnburner cover09/2018 – Erin Hoover’s (MFA Poetry ’05) debut poetry collection, Barnburner, was selected by Kathryn Nuernberger for Elixir Press‘s Antivenom Award and will be published in 2018. Erin’s poems have appeared in the 2016 edition of The Best American Poetry, and recently in Alaska Quarterly Review, Pleiades, and Tampa Review.

Erin earned her M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Oregon and a Ph.D. from Florida State University. Born and raised in central Pennsylvania, she now lives in Tallahassee. Florida, where she teaches writing. Erin has volunteered for The Southeast Review (editor in chief), VIDA: Women in Literary Arts (lead PR advisor), Writers Resist/Write Our Democracy (PR advisor), and Late Night Library (co-founder).
