Northwest Review

The University of Oregon’s Northwest Review, a journal published by the University of Oregon beginning in 1957, stopped publication after its Fall 2011 issue. Economic needs and the rapidly evolving nature of literary quarterlies at the time presented challenges the UO and Creative Writing Program could not overcome.

(In 2020, a new editor and publisher, S. Tremaine Nelson, independently launched a new publication that is also called Northwest Review. That new publication has a similar focus and has established its web presence at nwreview.org.)
